Not only being proficient in English but also being able to continue attending the school in it's after school program (for graduates only).
Sure, of course when the students graduate they are able to have great conversations in English, but that ability can drop away fast when the students get into Elementary school and start learning.
Plus in the future there is a need to take #eiken tests where the listening skills are tested.
Isn't it easier just to keep the habit going while steadily advancing the English understanding as they reach that maturity level.
We have heard from parents who joined overseas schools after graduation that the teachers at that school were surprised by the English level of their child.
